Practice the moments that derail you with a coach, so a different response becomes something you can actually use real-time.
You want help, but she won’t join counseling or work on the relationship.
Start now, on your side. Your progress no longer has to wait for her willingness to participate.
You’ve read the advice. You still don’t know what applies to your situation.
Get a plan built around your patterns, your relationship and the decisions in front of you.
You ask AI for the right answer, but your blind spots stay out of the conversation.
Work with an experienced human who notices what happens live, challenges your assumptions and helps you act differently.
You face the next difficult text or conversation alone, afraid of making things worse.
Have a coach in your corner to help you choose your next move and learn from what happens.

What the Grounded Leader Program is

A personalized 3-month program of private coaching, daily practice and direct support. Work with a coach who knows your situation to stop repeating the reactions you regret, rebuild your self-respect and handle the conversations you’ve been avoiding. Give your relationship its best possible chance while becoming a man you can trust under pressure, whatever she decides.

No couples counseling. No generic advice. Practical work on the moments that matter.

What’s included:

  • Private 1-to-1 coaching to change the patterns playing out between you and your partner, week by week.
  • A personal plan built around your nervous system, your relationship dynamics and the challenges you’re facing.
  • Body-based practices to regulate your nervous system, reconnect with your emotions and build the capacity to handle fear, hurt and uncertainty without shutting down or reacting impulsively.
  • Rehearsal of your real conversations, so the first time you try a new response isn’t in the middle of an argument.
  • A short daily practice and Daily Log, to turn insights into habits you can use at home.
  • Clear next steps after each session, so you know what to practice and how to turn the breakthroughs you experience with your coach into lasting change in your daily life.
  • Direct support via text and voice notes, for the moments between sessions when you need guidance from your coach.
  • Practical frameworks for boundaries, repairing conflict, rebuilding trust and creating closeness.

Get a plan for your situation

Tell us where things stand. On your Strategy Call, we’ll help you understand the pattern you’re caught in and what to do next. If the program is a fit, we’ll explain it. Either way, you leave with a plan for your situation.

“Through breathing techniques and noticing different feelings in my body, I’m able to control my emotions and lead stable conversations and thoughts.”

Sam D., during the program, on Trustpilot (his review)

Four reasons men come to us

It’s delicate, and the stakes are high

She’s asked for space. There may be another person, a move-out date or a decision you’ve been putting off. You want to know how to handle what comes next without another conversation you regret.

You know what to do, and you still slip

You’ve read it. You’ve practiced it. Then she sends a cold reply, and the old you answers before the new one can.

Your patterns run deeper

What keeps happening between you has a history, maybe older than the relationship. It needs work built around you and where it started.

You want this to be the time you change

Getting her back matters. So does who you are on the other side of this. You see this as one of the most important times of your life.

If any of these sounds like you, keep reading.

How the work is built

The work follows five phases. We begin with understanding your patterns and practicing steadier responses, then build toward boundaries and difficult conversations.

The pace and focus depend on your situation, and we revisit earlier skills when needed. Your sessions also address what is happening in your life that week.

  1. 1.

    SEE

You can name the pattern you’re caught in, and watch it happen instead of being inside it.

  2. 2.

    STOP

Your old reaction still fires before you can think, but a trained response now catches it in the first seconds.

  3. 3.

    STAND

You can care about how she feels without letting her mood determine your worth or your next move.

  4. 4.

    LEAD

You can have the hard conversation, set a boundary and work through conflict from steady ground.

  5. 5.

    INTEGRATION

Steady starts to feel normal, even on the hard days.

Most men try to lead first: the big talk, the confident stance. Their system is still at the first step, so it collapses. We build it in the right order.

What most men don’t know until someone shows them

  • The wrong approach can reinforce the pattern you’re trying to break

Advice to “give her space” can become more withdrawal if you already shut down. Advice to “communicate more” can become more explaining, defending and pressure if you already chase reassurance. More effort doesn’t always mean progress. Your coach helps you recognize what’s happening in your situation and choose a response that moves things forward instead of repeating the same cycle.

  • The right words can backfire when you’re driven by panic

A message meant to show love can land as pressure. A boundary can come out as a threat. A conversation meant to rebuild trust can turn into another argument. That’s why we work on your ability to stay steady first, then practice how to communicate, set boundaries and lead difficult conversations.

  • A setback can pull you straight back into the old pattern

You’ve been making changes. Then she becomes distant again, and you think: “None of this is working.” You start chasing reassurance, pushing for a conversation or defending how hard you’ve tried. That reaction can create more of the pressure you’ve been working to reduce. Your coach helps you understand what the setback means, what needs adjusting and how to respond without slipping back into the same cycle.

What each phase takes, and what we usually work on

This is what we usually work on with men. Your program may look different, because it’s built around you. That’s why we always talk first. On your Strategy Call we build your plan with you, and we only invite you in if we believe the program will truly change things for you.

“That’s what I needed: somebody with the experience that will guide me through the key moments, so that when he stops holding my hand and the program ends, I can continue doing the right things on my own.”

Sherif, in his interview

How a week works

Every week starts from what actually happened in yours.

  1. 1. A real moment

Something happens in your week: the text you almost sent, or the talk that went sideways. You log it, or message us if it can’t wait.

  2. 2. Understand what happened

In your session, we look at what actually happened, including the parts you skip when you tell yourself the story.

  3. 3. Work with the pattern where it starts

As the pattern shows up in your session, your coach helps you notice what happens in your body and stay with feelings you would usually avoid, suppress or act out. You practice feeling fear, hurt or anger without letting it take over, building the emotional capacity to respond differently at home.

  4. 4. Practice your next response

You practice the new response with a person who pushes back, with your heart rate up. So when the next hard moment comes, you’ve done it before.

Next week, next layer.

The Reset steadies you on your own. In session, you practice staying steady while it’s hard, next to someone who is calm. Then you learn to be that for yourself, and for her.

The people you’ll work with

Your coach gets to know your situation, your patterns and what you’re trying to change. Behind that work is a team with different areas of expertise. Adrian, our Head of Coaching, reviews every case before the program starts, so your work begins with a clear direction.

  • Adrian

    Head of Coaching

Adrian co-founded Grounded Leaders and leads the team. He has spent 8 years working with men, first as a trainer and mentor in men’s development, now with men whose relationship is in crisis. He reviews every case before the program starts and leads some cases himself.

His motto: “Stop orbiting. Become the center.”

    • Co-founder of Grounded Leaders
    • 8 years of work with men
  • Michael

    Nervous system and relationship patterns

8 years of 1-to-1 work, mostly with men in demanding careers, after 12 years as a manager and director in IT. He specializes in the patterns that run a relationship in crisis: the chase and the pulling away, the urge to explain and defend, and the moment a man’s system floods. He works nervous system first, then behavior, then communication.

    • Internal Family Systems, hundreds of training hours including supervision
    • Somatic techniques, LifeArchitect
    • Transition Excellence leadership training, Rich Litvin
  • Alex

    Turning insight into daily change

9 years of 1-to-1 work, now focused on relationships in crisis. She specializes in turning what a session uncovers into small daily experiments: at dinner, in an argument, in the silence. She’s at her best with men who analyze everything and feel it from a distance.

    • Certified Cognitive Coach, Institute of Cognitive Coaching
    • Embodiment and nervous system training
    • Laban/Bartenieff Movement Studies
  • Samuela

    Body-based work

11 years of 1-to-1 work, 3 of them only on the nervous system and the body. She specializes in cases where the body is the front line: freeze or shutdown, going numb at home, anger built up over years, or understanding everything while the body won’t follow.

    • Polyvagal Theory, Porges Institute
    • Breathwork, a 6-month professional training
    • Body-process work

Between them, 36 years of working with people.

Hear it from men who’ve done it

3 men, 3 different situations. Each had looked elsewhere first: books, counseling or another program.

Sherif

Watch Sherif’s full interview (45 minutes)

Where he was:
Married 10 years, with a temper he’d been fighting for 10 to 15 years. He’d come home hoping for peace, walk into tension, and the evening would end in a fight and then guilt. He’d tried therapists and marriage counseling. They had started talking about separation.
What changed:
He learned what his nervous system had been doing to every part of his life. When she snaps, he breathes instead of firing back, and he’s watched her calm down too. He walks his son through his meltdowns. His wife comes to him to talk about her day. At work, he talked one of his biggest clients back down.
In his words:

“It was like the worst song ever that continues to play and you just can’t get it to pause.”

“Why didn’t I know this 15 years ago?”

His son, after Sherif calmed him down:

“Thank you, Daddy, for helping me.”

Sam

Watch Sam’s full interview (46 minutes)

Where he was:
His wife had moved out, and Sam wanted a quick fix. Two other programs he looked at felt like a money grab to him.
What changed:
After one conversation, it landed: it starts with me. The breathing became automatic, even in moments that used to set him off. His kids are calmer.
In his words:

“I’d pay that money twice over.”

“Don’t dip your toe. Jump in.”

From his Trustpilot review:

“I’ve trusted the process completely and it’s changed my life.” (read it)

Greg

Watch Greg’s full interview (1 hour)

Where he was:
Greg came to us after a year of reading everything he could find and going to counseling. His senior staff had written him a letter saying they couldn’t reach him anymore. His kids made him anxious. He’d been the calm one his whole life, and he couldn’t find it anywhere.
What changed:
He’s calm again, at home and at work, and the people around him noticed: his staff, his friends, his wife.
In his words:

“I knew what I had to do. I didn’t know how.”

“The hurt’s still there. It just doesn’t trigger me.”

From his Trustpilot review:

“I didn’t think I needed this; I didn’t realise how much of myself I had lost. … My family, my staff, and my friends are all responding positively, and I am more positive than ever.” (read it)

Real clients, in their own words. Every situation is different.

How you start

  1. 1.

    Take the 2-minute assessment

A few questions about where things stand. It matches you with the right consultant on our team for your situation, and you’ll see who that is before you book.

  2. 2.

    Pick a time

Allow 45–60 minutes in a private place where you can focus, with your camera on.

  3. 3.

    Get ready

Keep doing your Reset, read what you can, and bring your SEE audit if you’ve started one. You don’t need to finish the book first.

  4. 4.

    Build your plan together

Where the relationship stands, what keeps repeating, what to do first, and what needs to change in you through it.

  5. 5.

    Decide

The plan is yours, whatever you decide. If we believe the program will truly change things for you, we’ll invite you in and tell you exactly how it works and what it costs. If we don’t, we’ll tell you that too.

Have a plan before the next hard moment.

We stand behind your progress

We can’t choose what she does. We can stand behind the work we do with you. That’s why the program comes with a money-back guarantee on your progress.

If you show up to every session, do the practices and fill out your Daily Log, and after 3 months you’re still stuck in the pattern you came in with, we refund every cent.

On your Strategy Call, we name that pattern with you, in your words, so we both know exactly what we’re measuring. The full conditions are in your agreement.

“What surprised me about Grounded Leaders was the guarantee. I’d never come across a program willing to give you every single dollar back like that.”

Sherif, in his interview

Is this for you?

It’s for you if:

  • You’re in a hard stretch with your wife, partner or girlfriend, whether you live together, apart, or somewhere in between
  • You’d rather work on your side than wait for her to change
  • You’re ready to show up every week for about 3 months
  • You want to come out of this as a man you respect

It isn’t for you if:

  • You want a script that brings her back by Friday
  • You want someone to work on her, or tricks to make her jealous or guilty
  • There’s physical violence in the relationship, from either side. Please get professional help first
  • You can’t commit to showing up every week

“If you think that this is going to be some sort of program where I sign up… I’m going to feel a little bit better about myself because I’m venting and not do any of the work behind it. Don’t even waste your time. It is not that type of program.”

Sherif, in his interview

Why we built the program

I wrote the NETR Method to give men a way through the hardest stretch of their relationship, working on their own side, without games.

For many men, it’s enough. But in our community I kept seeing the same thing: men who knew the method still hit the same walls when it mattered. The moment she says she isn’t sure anymore. The pattern that’s older than the relationship. The stretch where everything seems to go backwards. A book can’t walk through those with you.

So we built a way to do it together. Grounded Leaders is a team of men and women who do this work every week, led by Adrian, our Head of Coaching.

We don’t take everyone. We talk first, build your plan, and only invite the men we believe it will truly change things for.

Peter,

founder of Grounded Leaders

Have a plan before the next hard moment

It’s coming. A conversation, or a date on the calendar. You can walk into it on your own, or with a plan built around you and people who have done this many times.

Take the 2-minute assessment. If it fits, you’ll build your plan on the call, and it’s yours whatever you decide.

Already had your Strategy Call? Reply to your consultant’s last message, and we’ll take it from there.

The men quoted on this page are real clients and customers, in their own words. These are individual experiences: your results depend on your situation and the work you do, and we can’t promise what your partner will decide. The Grounded Leader Program isn’t therapy or medical care. If there’s physical violence in your relationship, from either side, please contact local professional help first. If you’re thinking about hurting yourself, call or text 988 in the US, or your local emergency number.
