“Through breathing techniques and noticing different feelings in my body, I’m able to control my emotions and lead stable conversations and thoughts.”
Sam D., during the program, on Trustpilot (his review)
Four reasons men come to us
It’s delicate, and the stakes are high
She’s asked for space. There may be another person, a move-out date or a decision you’ve been putting off. You want to know how to handle what comes next without another conversation you regret.
You know what to do,and you still slip
You’ve read it. You’ve practiced it. Then she sends a cold reply, and the old you answers before the new one can.
Your patterns run deeper
What keeps happening between you has a history, maybe older than the relationship. It needs work built around you and where it started.
You want this to be the time you change
Getting her back matters. So does who you are on the other side of this. You see this as one of the most important times of your life.
If any of these sounds like you, keep reading.
How the work is built
The work follows five phases. We begin with understanding your patterns and practicing steadier responses, then build toward boundaries and difficult conversations.
The pace and focus depend on your situation, and we revisit earlier skills when needed.Your sessions also address what is happening in your life that week.
1.
SEE
You can name the pattern you’re caught in, and watch it happen instead of being inside it.
2.
STOP
Your old reaction still fires before you can think, but a trained response now catches it in the first seconds.
3.
STAND
You can care about how she feels without letting her mood determine your worth or your next move.
4.
LEAD
You can have the hard conversation, set a boundary and work through conflict from steady ground.
5.
INTEGRATION
Steady starts to feel normal, even on the hard days.
Most men try to lead first: the big talk, the confident stance.Their system is still at the first step, so it collapses. We build it in the right order.
What most men don’t know until someone shows them
The wrong approach can reinforce the pattern you’re trying to break
Advice to “give her space” can become more withdrawal if you already shut down. Advice to “communicate more” can become more explaining, defending and pressure if you already chase reassurance. More effort doesn’t always mean progress. Your coach helps you recognize what’s happening in your situation and choose a response that moves things forward instead of repeating the same cycle.
The right words can backfire when you’re driven by panic
A message meant to show love can land as pressure. A boundary can come out as a threat. A conversation meant to rebuild trust can turn into another argument. That’s why we work on your ability to stay steady first, then practice how to communicate, set boundaries and lead difficult conversations.
A setback can pull you straight back into the old pattern
You’ve been making changes. Then she becomes distant again, and you think: “None of this is working.” You start chasing reassurance, pushing for a conversation or defending how hard you’ve tried. That reaction can create more of the pressure you’ve been working to reduce. Your coach helps you understand what the setback means, what needs adjusting and how to respond without slipping back into the same cycle.
What each phase takes, and what we usually work on
Before:
You feel bad, you try things, nothing works, and you can’t say why.
After:
You can name the pattern you’re caught in, and watch it happen instead of being inside it.
Why it’s hard alone: You can’t watch a pattern while you’re inside it, and fear edits the story you tell yourself about her. So we don’t work from the story. We find the moment and look at what your body did.
How your nervous system reacts under pressure: you flare up, shut down, or start fixing and pleasing. It decides the order of everything else.
The loop between you: what your body did, what she picked up from it, and what she did next.
Where your patterns started: growing up, past relationships, adult life.
Your body’s early warnings: the cues that show up seconds before you lose yourself.
Your goal in your own words, turned into signs you can check halfway and at the end.
Before:
You pour fuel on the fire, even after promising yourself you wouldn’t.
After:
When the old reaction fires, you have moves that interrupt it.Often, it’s the first quiet stretch she’s had in months.
Why you can’t just stop: The reaction fires in a split second, before you’ve had a thought. You can’t decide your way out of something that happens before you decide. That’s why promises and willpower keep failing. So we find the practice your body responds to, and drill it with you until it’s the response that fires first.
Regulation built for your wiring and your personality: settling down if you flare up, coming back online if you shut down. A practice that settles one man can deepen another’s freeze, so we choose yours with care.
The reflex to justify, argue, defend and explain, and the urge to fix: where it comes from in you, and what to do in the first seconds instead.
Breaking the chase: the texts, the checking and the pressure for an answer that push her further away.
The older pattern underneath: where it started, and how to change it in your body as well as your head. We tell you which methods have strong research behind them and which are newer, and you choose what you go through.
Not tonight: when panic wants a script for the big talk, we hold you back and tell you why. That talk comes later, from steady ground.
Guilt about the past, so it stops driving what you do now.
Before:
You orbit her.Her cold morning ruins your day, and her warm evening saves it.
After:
You have your own center. You can care about how she feels without letting her mood determine your worth or your next move.
Why it takes practice with a person: Knowing breaks down when your heart rate is up. Steadiness is built like any skill you need under pressure: reps with someone who pushes back, until it holds.
Role-play of the scenes from your life, with someone playing her side.
Patterns caught live in the session, and stopped right there.
Sitting through her bad days without rushing to fix things or leaving the room.
Telling steady from numb. “I don’t care what she said” can be a freeze, so we check which one it is.
Reading her ups and downs, so a setback doesn’t make you quit or slip.
Staying steady when there’s someone else, a lawyer or a deadline.
Before:
Every talk turns into her list of grievances. You absorb it all, then collapse or explode.
After:
You can hear her out without shutting down or exploding, say your side, and know what you want.
Why it’s hard alone: From inside the fear, you can’t hear how your words land or tell when to speak. We can, and you rehearse the real conversation with us before you have it.
Communication built for you and her: listening so she feels heard, saying your side without a war, repairing after a fight.
Ethical influence and communication: express your needs in ways she can hear, lead difficult conversations and invite cooperation without pressure.
The hard conversation: when to have it, how to open it, and how to handle the days after it.
Rebuilding trust in the order it comes back: small promises kept, then reliability, then her faith in a future with you.
Rebuilding closeness, affection and attraction once there’s safety between you again.
Boundaries and self-respect: saying no kindly, and keeping your word to yourself.
Leading at home: helping your kids through their hard moments, and being the example they copy.
Leading at work: reading the room and calming a tense client or team.
Before:
Steady is still something you work at.You use the tools, and you watch yourself.
After:
It’s how you meet your life, including the parts that stay hard. You’re not managing your nervous system anymore. You live in it.
Why it’s a phase of its own: A change that only holds while someone’s watching isn’t finished. So the last stretch is built for you to need us less, and what you’ve built keeps deepening after the program ends.
More space between sessions near the end, when it fits, so you run your own week.
Your daily practice made yours: what to keep, what to drop, and how to adjust it when life changes.
Hard weeks measured against the whole path, not last week, so one bad week doesn’t send you back to old moves.
Back to the goal you set at the start: what’s changed, and what’s next for you.
Habits that hold without us.
This is what we usually work on with men. Your program may look different, because it’s built around you. That’s why we always talk first. On your Strategy Call we build your plan with you, and we only invite you in if we believe the program will truly change things for you.
“That’s what I needed: somebody with the experience that will guide me through the key moments, so that when he stops holding my hand and the program ends, I can continue doing the right things on my own.”
Sherif, in his interview
How a week works
Every week starts from what actually happened in yours.
1. A real moment
Something happens in your week: the text you almost sent, or the talk that went sideways. You log it, or message us if it can’t wait.
2. Understand what happened
In your session, we look at what actually happened, including the parts you skip when you tell yourself the story.
3. Work with the pattern where it starts
As the pattern shows up in your session, your coach helps you notice what happens in your body and stay with feelings you would usually avoid, suppress or act out. You practice feeling fear, hurt or anger without letting it take over, building the emotional capacity to respond differently at home.
4. Practice your next response
You practice the new response with a person who pushes back, with your heart rate up. So when the next hard moment comes, you’ve done it before.
Next week, next layer.
The Reset steadies you on your own.In session, you practice staying steady while it’s hard, next to someone who is calm. Then you learn to be that for yourself, and for her.
The people you’ll work with

Where he was:
Married 10 years, with a temper he’d been fighting for 10 to 15 years. He’d come home hoping for peace, walk into tension, and the evening would end in a fight and then guilt. He’d tried therapists and marriage counseling. They had started talking about separation.
What changed:
He learned what his nervous system had been doing to every part of his life. When she snaps,he breathes instead of firing back, and he’s watched her calm down too.He walks his son through his meltdowns. His wife comes to him to talk about her day.At work,he talked one of his biggest clients back down.
In his words:
“It was like the worst song ever that continues to play and you just can’t get it to pause.”
“Why didn’t I know this 15 years ago?”
His son, after Sherif calmed him down:
“Thank you, Daddy, for helping me.”

Where he was:
His wife had moved out, and Sam wanted a quick fix. Two other programs he looked at felt like a money grab to him.
What changed:
After one conversation,it landed:it starts with me.The breathing became automatic, even in moments that used to set him off.His kids are calmer.
In his words:
“I’d pay that money twice over.”
“Don’t dip your toe. Jump in.”
From his Trustpilot review:
“I’ve trusted the process completely and it’s changed my life.” (read it)
Greg

Where he was:
Greg came to us after a year of reading everything he could find and going to counseling. His senior staff had written him a letter saying they couldn’t reach him anymore. His kids made him anxious. He’d been the calm one his whole life, and he couldn’t find it anywhere.
What changed:
He’s calm again,at home and at work, and the people around him noticed:his staff, his friends, his wife.
In his words:
“I knew what I had to do. I didn’t know how.”
“The hurt’s still there. It just doesn’t trigger me.”
From his Trustpilot review:
“I didn’t think I needed this; I didn’t realise how much of myself I had lost. … My family, my staff, and my friends are all responding positively, and I am more positive than ever.” (read it)
Real clients, in their own words.Every situation is different.
A few questions about where things stand. It matches you with the right consultant on our team for your situation, and you’ll see who that is before you book.
2.
Pick a time
Allow 45–60 minutes in a private place where you can focus, with your camera on.
3.
Get ready
Keep doing your Reset, read what you can, and bring your SEE audit if you’ve started one. You don’t need to finish the book first.
4.
Build your plan together
Where the relationship stands, what keeps repeating, what to do first, and what needs to change in you through it.
5.
Decide
The plan is yours, whatever you decide. If we believe the program will truly change things for you, we’ll invite you in and tell you exactly how it works and what it costs. If we don’t, we’ll tell you that too.
We can’t choose what she does. We can stand behind the work we do with you. That’s why the program comes with a money-back guarantee on your progress.
If you show up to every session, do the practices and fill out your Daily Log, and after 3 months you’re still stuck in the pattern you came in with, we refund every cent.
On your Strategy Call, we name that pattern with you, in your words, so we both know exactly what we’re measuring. The full conditions are in your agreement.
“What surprised me about Grounded Leaders was the guarantee. I’d never come across a program willing to give you every single dollar back like that.”
Sherif, in his interview
Is this for you?
It’s for you if:
You’re in a hard stretch with your wife, partner or girlfriend, whether you live together, apart, or somewhere in between
You’d rather work on your side than wait for her to change
You’re ready to show up every week for about 3 months
You want to come out of this as a man you respect
It isn’t for you if:
You want a script that brings her back by Friday
You want someone to work on her, or tricks to make her jealous or guilty
There’s physical violence in the relationship, from either side. Please get professional help first
You can’t commit to showing up every week
“If you think that this is going to be some sort of program where I sign up… I’m going to feel a little bit better about myself because I’m venting and not do any of the work behind it. Don’t even waste your time. It is not that type of program.”
Sherif, in his interview
Why we built the program
I wrote the NETR Method to give men a way through the hardest stretch of their relationship, working on their own side, without games.
For many men, it’s enough. But in our community I kept seeing the same thing: men who knew the method still hit the same walls when it mattered. The moment she says she isn’t sure anymore. The pattern that’s older than the relationship. The stretch where everything seems to go backwards. A book can’t walk through those with you.
So we built a way to do it together. Grounded Leaders is a team of men and women who do this work every week, led by Adrian, our Head of Coaching.
We don’t take everyone. We talk first, build your plan, and only invite the men we believe it will truly change things for.
Peter,
founder of Grounded Leaders
No. Everything we work on is on your side. Whether you tell her is up to you.
Separation or another man being involved doesn’t mean your next moves no longer matter. We help you stop reacting from panic, understand the dynamic between you and choose how to communicate, set boundaries and rebuild connection where there’s an opening. On your Strategy Call, we’ll look at where things stand and what you can work on now.
We can work on how you respond to messages, respect boundaries, manage uncertainty and make decisions without chasing reassurance. On the Strategy Call, we’ll look at the contact you have and whether coaching fits your situation.
The book is the method, and it’s complete. The program is built around you: your nervous system, your history, your situation. It goes where a book can’t: where your patterns started, practice with a person, the hard conversation, closeness and attraction, and leading at home. You’ll keep using the book alongside it.
Probably not exactly. It’s built around you. That’s why we talk first and build your plan before anything else.
Regulation for your body, practice and role-play, communication frameworks, and ways of working with old patterns. Some have strong research behind them. Others are newer and less studied. We tell you which is which, and you choose what you go through.
Keep using it. It sees the patterns in what you tell it. A person adds what you can’t type: someone who sees your face as you read her last message out loud, and holds you to the work for 3 months.
We combine body-based practices with practical coaching on communication and relationship habits. You learn to notice tension building, settle your nervous system and rehearse a different response before the next difficult conversation. The work goes beyond understanding your patterns: you practice changing how you respond when the pressure is real. Your partner does not need to attend. Some clients also work with a therapist alongside the program.
Your coach gets to know your situation, your patterns and what you’re trying to change. Behind that work is a team with different areas of expertise. Adrian, our Head of Coaching, reviews every case before the program starts, so your work begins with a clear direction. Your Strategy Call is with one of our consultants.
Usually a private session each week, about 10 minutes a day for your practice and Daily Log, and messages between sessions for the moments that can’t wait.
Yes. Direct support from your coach via text and voice notes between sessions. Share the difficult message, the conversation you’re dreading or the setback you don’t know how to handle. You don’t have to figure out your next move alone. Messages are answered within 24 hours, and when we know a hard moment is coming, we check in first.
The last phase, Integration, is built for that. Near the end, sessions can space out so you start running your own week, and what you’ve built keeps growing after we stop. If there’s still work worth doing, we’ll tell you honestly.
A saved relationship and a changed man are different outcomes. We can’t promise her decision. What we work toward is a change you can see in how you handle pressure, communicate and respect yourself. Read the client stories above to see what that has looked like for other men.
We explain the total price and what it includes on your Strategy Call, before you decide. Payment plans are available, and we’ll walk you through the options.
Your sessions are 1-to-1, and what you share stays inside our team.
Don’t spend the time guessing. Take the assessment today and book the earliest time you can speak privately. If there’s a date coming, tell us on the call, and we’ll plan around it.
Have a plan before the next hard moment
It’s coming. A conversation, or a date on the calendar. You can walk into it on your own, or with a plan built around you and people who have done this many times.
Take the 2-minute assessment. If it fits, you’ll build your plan on the call, and it’s yours whatever you decide.
Already had your Strategy Call?Reply to your consultant’s last message, and we’ll take it from there.
The men quoted on this page are real clients and customers, in their own words. These are individual experiences: your results depend on your situation and the work you do, and we can’t promise what your partner will decide. The Grounded Leader Program isn’t therapy or medical care. If there’s physical violence in your relationship, from either side, please contact local professional help first. If you’re thinking about hurting yourself, call or text 988 in the US, or your local emergency number.
